A $92.68M new alignment highway project located in southern New York State approximately 75 miles east of Binghamton and 85 miles west of New York City in rural Sullivan County just outside of Monticello. The project involves the excavation of approximately 1.8 million CY of earth and rock. Approximately 1.2 million CY of material must be exported. The largest cut on the project is an 85 foot deep cut in the location of the future Parksville entry/exit ramps. The project also involves the construction of a four lane divided highway that contains 13 new bridge structures. The new bridge structures are required to bridge over environmentally sensitive areas, streams, and existing local roads. The bridges consist of a variety of precast structures, simple span AASHTO girder spans, and single and multi span steel girder/concrete deck superstructures. The longest pair of bridges are two twin lane structures encompassing four spans with a total length of 900 feet. Construction is proceeding with day time and night time crews
